Frequently Asked Questions

Can I do a wine tasting with you? Of course! You are welcome to come to our weekly wine tasting or make an appointment for a private wine tasting with us. If you don't have time to visit our winery, we offer you the possibility of a wine tasting in our living room wine tasting, comfortably on your sofa.

We have just over 3.5 hectares of vineyards in our winery. That is about 30,000 vines and results in the annual production of about 30,000 bottles. Yes! All red wines from the Gerhard Trossen winery mature in oak barrels. We use barrels, which have a capacity of 1000l. We also use 225l barrique barrels for our Pinot Noir special edition. Our sparkling wine base wines also mature in oak barrels.

At Weingut Gerhard Trossen we grow the following grape varieties: Riesling, Pinot Noir, Gewürztraminer, Dornfelder and Müller-Thurgau.
